1DsII Test

I set up the camera on a tripod with a subject that has nice small detail and took some snaps. Sure enough, when you look at the preview on the back of the camera, it is below par, but when you download the picture and look at it, it is absolutely fine:

I took the same picture in raw and fiddled with it. Nicer, but no focus problem:

This picture is designed to show any dust on the sensor. I suspect that the owner of this camera has taken it somewhere dusty, like the desert.

My conclusion? The quality of the preview is not as good as the actual image. This is the same with my camera. But it is still a fine camera. It is "last year's model", it is a little trickier to use than the latest interface and it needs to be cleaned, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.
