Copenhagen Zoo

This must be the world's most expensive trip to the zoo.

Our Marwell tickets include free entry to Copenhagen Zoo, so in determination not to miss out on a bargain, we bought a couple of tickets from Easyjet. The date clashed with Berck and changing the tickets would cost more than the tickets themselves. So we simply discarded the flights. We bought another pair of tickets for late July. And hired a car. And failed to find hotel rooms for less than 120 quid a night. Hundreds of pounds on a trip to the zoo...

Walking through the park on the way to the Zoo.

The gibbons were out, leaping around and making lots of noise.

The Polar bears were also very stimulated and active

The Brown bears were full of the joys of spring, with the cubs having fun

There were three tiger cubs in a playful mood but providing clear evidence that Andrew needs a longer lens.

Other shenanagans in the zoo...

We went out to explore Denmark

And in the morning, we crossed over the bridge to explore Sweden.

We stayed in Helsingborg where they happened to be having a huge festival.

Once we were back home, Andrew spent a day picking up Craig Hansen, collecting a vanload of kites, buggies and bodies from around the country and sending them off to buggy across Africa on the Mad Way South
